We Survived!!

Well, Gustav didn't blow us away!! We had some really strong winds and the electricity was out for 5 and a half days and the cable/internet was out for 14 days but we made it thru!! The fence between us and the neighbors on our right fell down and a few shingles blew off. We were so lucky! There are alot of people that were not nearly as fortunate.
The top of a huge shady oak tree fell on my parents mobile home. It's still liveable but it made a big mess and they won't have their shade anymore! BUT WE MADE IT THRU!! I am so thankful!! Ike gave us some strong winds but not alot happened here w/ that storm. We still have a month and a half of hurricane season!! Here are some pictures of some of the damage and how we spent our time during the hurricane.
The fence was put up by our previous neighbor but when the insurance adjuster was out to assess the damage for them, he informed them that WE own half of that fence because we added fence to it, therefore we are responsible for half of the repairs. HUH???
Noah watching the rain and waiting for Granny and Paw Paw to come back from looking at the damage at their house. "PAW PAW!!!!"

How we tried to stay cool during the storm...in front of the open windows.

If you look closely, you can see a trailer back there under the tree.....

This is after the tree was removed....there was some damage to the porch also.

All that's left is the tree stump and a mess....

The boys were getting a little goofy because we would just ride around in the truck to get out of the heat.
They all three did really well with no electricity. (Noah was a trooper!!) But by the 14th day without cable, Jacob was having ESPN withdrawals!
All in all we faired well and I am thankful that all my family is safe!
Until next time............

'Cane, 'cane GO AWAY!!!

As in hurriCANE........I keep saying this in hopes that it will happen. Not just turn towards Texas or Mississippi but that it will GO AWAY!!! I know this is wishful thinking but I can't stand the thought of this storm making landfall AT ALL!!! I'm so nervous!

Okay, now that I've gotten that out of the way, I have to say that I have not had time to get Kaleb's pics together (or Jacob's ---he has had a bday, too) since my last post! I hopefully will have that done before their next B-days!! Until then, here are a few pics that I do have.......

Jacob holding his 1st baby brother the day he was born in 1999!

Kaleb lost his 1st baby tooth in March 2005

They still liked each other in March 2005

Easter 2006

(I'm missing a picture from 2007 because blogger decided not to let me post one from then or I guess it was just having problems when I started to post that one.. who knows???)

All three of my boys are in the picture below and this was taken at the beginning of August. J&K look like they are in pain and Noah is doing his "silly ham" face that he does for the camera now!!

Hopefully we won't get blown away by Gus and I will be able to post later.

Until next time......

Summer's gone...School is here again!!

Here are some pictures of the boys' vacation in Texas. They had a great time!!
Thanks, Nanny and Papa!!!!!!

Here's Noah hamming it up for the camera with Papa reading the paper in the background.

They brought their wii with them and now everyone is hooked on it.
Including their little cousin, Connor........

.... And Papa!!!! (and Nanny but we don't have a picture of her playing but apparently they kicked some booty in bowling!!)

Papa & Nanny bought the boys an early B-day/Christmas present......RockBand!!!
This allows not only the guitar (like Guitar Hero) but also the drums and singing!!
Kaleb and Connor in rehearsal for their next gig!!

Pool time!!! Those UV shirts really work!! No sunburns!! Yay!! Silly Monkey Kaleb!!
Never too big for a little sliding!!!
Kaleb and Conn resting with Nanny. So Sweet!!!

All of my guys rocking it out!!!!

The boys started school last Friday! (Yay!) As you can see Jacob got up and got ready and got out to catch the bus early but Kaleb was a different story..... He hid under the covers and took forever eating breakfast but he finally got dressed (although he still wasn't ready) AND he caught the bus on time. (I usually bring him to school on the first day of school each year but this year he wanted to ride the bus so he would be able to go into school with his friends!) He's growing up!!!!

Big brother and baby brother spending time together. Both of the big boys are so sweet with their baby brother and he just loves them to pieces!!!

Kaleb had his birthday this week and I have a few pictures to share but I'm working on it and will post them as soon as I get done.

'Til next time........

Baseball, Baseball, Baseball, SEAWORLD

So, we have been busy with baseball and my school but now that both are done for the summer, we can relax and have some fun. (It was great to go out to the field and see the boys play but it was sooooo hot! AND we had been baseballing it since APRIL!!)
The big boys are vacationing already with their g-parents in Texas! We met them in San Antonio last weekend to bring the boys to them and Steve and I got to bring the boys to Sea World while we were there. (except Noah, he had to stay with Nanny and Papa b/c it was way too hot out there for him) It was a short trip for Steve, Noah and me b/c I had to be back to study and take a test but we had a good time that day. Anyway, here are some pics of Kaleb's baseballl season with a few of Noah thrown in and then the boys at Sea World!!

Look at that swing!!!!

Silly Boy!!

Look at the concentration on that face!

Run it out, Kaleb!!

He's got that PRO look

Noah loose at the ballfield!

Ha, HA! Can't catch me!!!!

The boys tried to pet the dolphin but it didn't get close enough (notice Kaleb's hair)
Grumpy Kaleb and Silly Jacob

Trying not to get a picture taken with a smile on

Tired boys ready to go..
Can you see them saying (thru their teeth) "Just take the picture, MOM"
{Jacob's shirt says: SAVE THE HUMANS}
